New Machine and Grrr... FedEx
Bought my first machine from CPAP.com. Resmed AutoSet S9.
I'm off work but would like to do some stuff but stayed home because today was the delivery and I didn't want them to take it back nor did I want it to sit in the cold. Apparantly FedEx dropped it off at my door about 2 hrs ago and never rang or knocked. Is like 34F outside and the box is ice cold. I'm sure the Truck isn't heated but it probably helps. Grrr.
I guess I'll let it acclimate to the house for a day and with visiting, that means I won't be able to touch it until Friday.
Anyway, I'd appreciate some suggestions on something Soft to Wear with this thing?

Re: New Machine and Grrr... FedEx
The rep at CPAP.com informed me you have the option to specify signature required for delivery--I plan to do that when I order mine.
How soft--Rem-zzz's soft or Pad-a-Cheek soft? Or jammies?

Look for Uncle Bob and pm him. He has links to some nice "fuzzy jammies".

It will be room temperature in 2 hours and usable tonight. Don't worry about it, use it.

In the spirit of helping others, you can request that FedEx hold it at the terminal for pickup; this may not have helped you, but I've found that I can pick it up before the driver would ordinarily get to my residence. Might give you extra time for warmup. YMMV, though.
Glad you got your new machine.

Re: New Machine and Grrr... FedEx
I wonder if that is always available. I got a package a couple of days ago from Amazon, or someone, and on the label was a note to the effect "terminal pick up service not available." The note was part of the original label as printed by the sender.Rattleman wrote:In the spirit of helping others, you can request that FedEx hold it at the terminal for pickup;

I would be more worried that they dropped the package off the truck and then kicked it up the driveway than I would be anything related to cold.
I'm workin' on it.

Re: New Machine and Grrr... FedEx
I thought I had done that. And by the looks of it, the Fed Ex guy claimed I did sign for it.chunkyfrog wrote:The rep at CPAP.com informed me you have the option to specify signature required for delivery--I plan to do that when I order mine.

I do get a lot of packages delivered, especially this time of year as I jump on online sales for gifts. And normally I consider having to sign for it a hassle and which they would leave it. This time, though I wished they had followed the rules.
Thanks.Janknitz wrote:Look for Uncle Bob and pm him. He has links to some nice "fuzzy jammies".

At least you fount it soon. I ordered a Sony camera $600+ and was just checking the front yard found it wrapped in a plastic bag behind a bush next to the door, out of site. it had been there for two days in the rain with no note on the door. Got lucky as no harm was done and it stayed dry. Jim
It seems the only thing you need to sign for is the cheap junk you buy. I just take my chances as I don't really want to sign, it is nice when they do email you that it's been delivered. Jim
