Flow graph in ResScan software?

Post by DocWeezy » Sat Nov 13, 2010 11:50 am

Hi all....I'm trying to figure out if I'm actually sleeping. I know that sounds weird, but after so many years of not sleeping, I'm not sure what sleeping really feels like any more.

So...I have an S9 and the ResScan software. I've looked at the great graphs and info at http://www.osahelp.com/

Where OSAHELP shows a sleeping waveform, it shows as a "flow" graph. I can't seem to find a "flow" graph--all I can find is a "flow LIMITATION" graph. When set to 30 minute intervals, it only shows flat lines and then spikes for limited flow times.

The "minute ventilation" doesn't seem to show that either, even when set to view 30 minute intervals.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Weezy

Under Detailed Graphs there is an icon just to the right of the Serial # box where you can choose your graphing options for your summary, navigation and detail panes. You can choose to display the Flow graph in either the Navigation or Detail Pane.

Thanks, I've tried that. That list does show the option for a flow graph, but when I choose it and refresh, nothing happens and it does not show. That's what is so weird--there are a couple of places that show a flow graph as an option, but it never shows! Even tried creating a new report and choosing the flow graph option, but it doesn't show up.

Any more ideas?

Thanks!

How many graphs are you displaying for each pane? Is it possible that you need to scroll down to see the Flow graph? Have you tried choosing to display only one graph and then checked only the Flow graph?

The graph won't show if you don't ask for it in the data download. You have to check the box for "high rate data sessions" for the flow data to get to your computer.

Thanks for the suggestions....but I've already done that. I do download EVERYTHING (not just the summary data), and scrolling down just shows me the "basic" graphs that are always there: Pressure; Flow Limitation; Snore Index; Events; AHI events/hr; Minute Ventilation; Leak.

And I've just noticed....on the "Graphing Options" dialog box, it doesn't give me the option to see flow. The only options I have are the ones already showing.

When I create a custom report, I do have the option of showing flow, but even when I choose it and save the report, flow (or anything else other than what is above) never shows.

I'm beginning to wonder if I need to reinstall the software....

You need version 3.11or 3.12 to see the flow on the S9.

I was momentarily excited, thinking that maybe I had just installed an older version of the software. But no joy....I have:

Version 03.12.016
Launcher Version 0.2.0.60
Clinical version 0.7.0260

I'm so grateful for everyone's ideas...sooner or later I'm gonna get this sucker hammered into submission!

I GOT IT TO WORK!!!

Even though I was already downloading all detailed sessions, I created a "new" patient and downloaded everything again and this time flow was in there! Yippeeeee!

Guess it was just a slight glitch...seems to all be there now.

Thanks for everyone's help!

Thanks Doc Weezy, I had the same issue and was following your post for the "fix". See newbies, there is no such thing as a silly question. This one helped me also and I'm sure several others. If you have a question about anything, please ask, many will benefit from the answer. Thanks for all who responded. john
