A couple of notes:

The FX has only 3 major components -- the headgear, the hose, and the pillow. The pillow is central and removing it separate the mask into 3 parts, but involves no ripping. I have been using the same pillow for 10 weeks, disassembling the mask almost daily with no sign of the connections to the hose or headgear wearing.

Unlike the LT, the FX has no stiff frame. The flexibility of the silicone straps allows the pillow to be positioned against the nose without a the need for a mechanical adjustment.

I agree with this completely. I have used both the LT and the FX and find the FX much easier to use and definitely less noticeable when wearing at night. I have had mine for close to 4 months now and am still using the same pillow, which did not happen with the LT. IMHO, the FX is at least 10X better than the LT, in all respects.

fX versus LT? Well... I started with the FX my first two nights of therapy and they were really comfy! My issue was I need the hose held behind my head as I like to move from my side to my back. Assuming (incorrectly) the only difference b/w the fx an lt was th headgear, I went to my DME and switched them out. OOPS! There is a LOT of difference, even with the pillows themselves! Turns out the headgear was not at all comfy (for me!!!), so I went back today and got the fx back, and will rig something to keep the hose behind me. The DME was really cool about it (shout out to HMS - no I'm not a plant). The one I returned was still sitting on the therapist's desk!

The Swift LT For Her is similar to the Swift LT; seems to me the hose connection was different. Something was different because I greatly preferred the Swift LT.

edited to add correction: I have a Swift Mirage II that I prefer over the LT. I had the name wrong.

The FX is great. Comfy and flexible. In fact, the hose is so flexible that it gets a little hard to handle, but that wasn't why I gave it up. For whatever reason, I had an extreme amount of gas when using the FX. I started using the Mirage Swift II again and it went away.
Social acceptability won.

As I posted before, a sleep tech loves the Swift II more than the LT, but my ResMed friend wants me to try the LT. Since the CPAP will be my buddy for life, I'll try BOTH the LT and II.

I actually like the swift LT as long as I pad the cheeks. I liked it better than the old swift.
