Even the infrequent apneas were causing me to shift out of sleep mode, and I never completed a full sleep cycle the entire night at the sleep lab. Maybe she needs a more knowledgeable doc??
Thanks. Her numbers are similar to yours. The only option would be going out of her insurance plan to see another sleep doc. I am hoping that at least they'll give her a loner CPAP.
By the way, with your APAP, is there a way you can monitor your sleep quality since your AHI is naturally low?
Cheers!

I've been wondering that myself! But I figure the lower the AHI, the less sleep disturbance, since the EEG shifts were in response to the apneas. I just switched to a data recording machine.

I would also like to add that she should have her vitamin D levels checked. Make sure it's 25-hydroxyvitamin-D and not the 1,25-hydroxyvitamin-D test. I was still having some unexplained sleepiness with great numbers, and it turned out I was vitamin D deficient. I have been taking pure vitamin D3 for a few weeks and can already tell a big difference. If she is deficient or insufficient, the doctor will probably want to give her a prescription of vitamin D2, which probably isn't necessary. A good OTC vitamin D3 supplement will probably work better; that and sunshine.
Sleep well and live better!
