And the winner is...

Post by Born Tired » Tue Nov 01, 2005 6:56 am

Last night my husband looked at me (after I was all rigged up ) and said, "If they ever have a Miss HoseHead contest--you would win!" The great thing is that he meant it. They say love is blind. He's a real keeper--for 25 years so far!!!

Hope someone makes your day, too.

How sweet! I had to put leopard spotted PadACheek pads on my Swift to even get a second look! He's definitely a keeper!

My husband is definitely a special blessing in my life. But in all fairness to everyone else, he does on occassion look at me (especially when I have a new "fix" going) and laugh--actually we both laugh. I think it helps when you can laugh about it--it sure beats crying. I mean you gotta admit we do look a little...uh...different.

Proverbs 17:22 "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones." Ain't it the truth.

My wife has chuckled at me at few times since getting the mask/hose, but not in a hurtful way. She knows I need it and encourages me to keep with the therapy.

And she nicknamed my mask/hose/machine for me.

"Snuffy".

LOL!

Esther,

Like they say, "Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone."

Sounds like a definite keeper, that big galoot of yours. Mine is, too, but he actually told me I scared him one night when he opened his eyes, disoriented and forgetting that I wear this contraption to bed. I say, as long as we can take it off our faces and not scare anyone or make them laugh, we're still ahead of the game. It's once they start doing it when we're not wearing it that...
