I like the fitlife myself, it does cover the entire face, but I have had my best numbers yet with it, and I find it very comfortable, no bridge of the nose sorness anymore.

DoriC wrote:Gary, you're probably right. When we went to the DME to get a replacement for the UMFF we had been using with success for several months, we were told they only had the Quattro in stock("very similar") and they wouldn't be able to "special order"the UM for us. I immediately called Medicare and we were told if a mask is still being manufactured the DME must supply it for us. She said "she'd take care of it". Within 2 hrs, we got a call from the DME saying they "found some missing UMFFs misplaced on the wrong shelf"and would even bring one over to us, no mention of the nice Medicare lady's call of course. We had no problem getting the UM the next time.
SU, I know you'll understand when you "see me shaking my head NO"! I do kind of feel like you're all my "kids" and I hope my little stories help someone, but.....your room is now my "den", sorry!

I love my F&P formal ! I haven't had to adjust it in weeks. I have a very low leak rate with it. If there was anything I would change on the mask it would be the head gear it needs to come in different sizes. But that is a small price to pay for comfort.

Quattro is first ff mask, I have ever used. And I love it. Leak rates are none to minimal, also love the comfort of the mask. I thought I would never be able to sleep, looking like a jet pilot, but amazingly the quattro outperformed swift & hybrid. The mask looks heavy/bulky, but not true. Very lightweight, and perfect fit. I like the elbow swivel feature, rather then a fixed position.

I really enjoy the natural breathing, wearing the Quattro, opposed to forced pressure. The mask stay's secure on my face. No indentions.

Very easy to clean too, just remove headstrap and submerge in sink, clean surface areas, let soak/rinse. Contact Resmed, rep approved, I could clean this way. No disassembling.

Best of all, Quattro helps me sleep 8 hours solid, no sleep disturbance, no waking up, no adjusting, no headstrap popping off top of head (swift LT), no taping mouth, no pantyhose over pillows, no chinstrap popping off of chin.

Thank you Resmed for the Quattro !!

I am a side/stomach sleeper and have had trouble using the swift lt at night due to the amount of pressure I have to use. I usually have a blowout at some point - that much pressure up my nose really bothers me. Anyway, I've been wanting to try a FF, and didn't now if most FF users were back sleepers, or have to become back sleepers, or if you sleep on your stomach well with a FF. I know some have found ways to sleep on their stomach.

Also, if you are trying different masks, do you just try one for a week or so, then go back to your DME for another or what? Seems like it would start to get expensive after a while.

You can sleep on your side with a FF,that's the preferred position, but you may need a memory foam or special cpap pillow to accomodate the mask. In fact, sleeping on your back is discouraged as the supine position usually causes more apneas.

UMFF mask is my favorite, best fit, most comfortable. I've tried many masks, but think I've found my keeper with the UMFF.

Would that be just a regular memory foam pillow or would there be special a special cpap pillow I need to look at?

These are some you can look at or a Costco contour memory foam pillow. Everyone has their own preference.
