Monday night chats?

Post by snowdog » Wed Oct 05, 2005 6:33 pm

Did the Monday night chats just stop? I took part in a couple of them a few weeks ago but stopped because my dial-up was too slow for it. Now that I've finally got broadband I checked in Monday night and no chat. Were people just not interested?

I've done a few of the chats, but Monday night is the worst night possible for me. I try to remember to check in, though.

While Monday night is the scheduled chat, I think we can actually chat any time...

I did not think Monday night would work when we did it. Mondays are so hectic. I think Thursday or Friday would be better. But we can anytime 24-7

Snowdog, I check in every Monday night for a few minutes. I must have missed you this week. We DO have a scheduled chat every Monday night. When you login just hang around a while. Dont count on the counter to be right because sometimes it is stuck on 0 and there are several people in the room. See you next monday.

I checked in Monday night and no one was there. So, I "talked" to myself.

I thought maybe I was a little early.

I used to go into the chat room quite a bit, but kept getting disconnected too often. Oddly, the ASAA chat room which uses the same Flash chat program almost never disconnects for me. Nor does any other chat program I've used. I don't know why I have such frequent disconnects in the cpaptalk chatroom. I finally gave up on this one.

Monday used to be OK for me, but then my wife and I started doing a Bible study together that meets that night (Precept study of Revelation -- Part 1). And Thursdays are bad for me too -- model railroad club with my son. Forget about weekends.

Hmmm ... that leaves Tuesday or Wednesday. And the Miata club meets one Wednesday a month and I'm about to be voted on as a board member.

I guess I'm too busy to chat .

This is good to know. Any time anyone wants to chat, go ahead and log in!

So Flowers...hows the endtime timeline shaping up in light of Revelations and current events? Terry

We're no where near that part of Revelation; the full study is nearly a year long! We've been at it for 5 weeks and we're still looking at the messages to the 7 churches, one church a week. We're just starting Revelation 3.

Still Jesus said he would come quickly, which most people misinterpret as "coming soon". So far I see no indication of that, any more than during other tumultuous times in the past 2000 years.

But I'm not a biblical scholar, just a person with a big bump of curiosity about almost everything, so don't take my word as Gospel (pun very much intended).

*grin* Ok, since we're off the topic anyway LOL I'll bite. Your comment made me curious What is the difference between "coming quickly" and "coming soon" ?? Very interested in this...

In the context it seems to say he'll be back quickly...soon..but I do see there might be a difference now that I think about it (just thinking out loud here) It just means His coming will happen quickly...I think?

If I am driving to your house and leave now I'm coming soon.

If I am driving to your house and leave in a few weeks, but drive at an average speed of 85mph I'm coming quickly.

Yep, way off topic. Maybe we should take this to PM or email.

That's really weird, r.g. How is it that the cpaptalk Flash chat program, which is identical to other Flash chat programs you use, keeps disconnecting you but the others do not?

Hmmm.......

I think we now know why the Monday night chats disintegrated.
