Difference between Autoset II and Advantage ??

Hi,

I am trying to find out whats the difference between the Resmed AutoSet II and the Resmed Autoset Advantage.

They look the same, the cost the same, and as far as I can tell, they do the same ?!?

This whole series of Resmed machines look closely the same, actually. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if the difference is only firmware.....

I'm not sure of the specifics of the Advantage, but any ResMed with a II in the name features the new EasyBreathe motor. This motor/blower design is more efficent and makes the machine quieter. It also is designed to make breathing feel more natural. When set at the same pressure, my AutoSet II is much more comfortable than the Respironics Tank machine that I used at my doctor's office to test masks.

Users who've been around long enough have a "delete spam" button for pretenders like that -- I deleted that spam before I saw your response, to it. Liddlebrook - it's gone.

I have both, but make my wife use the Vantage.

AutoSet II is much quieter and the algorithm is different, breathing feels MUCH more natural. AutoSet II also has EPR available in APAP mode.

Makes you wonder why they sell the Advantage at the same price, looking the same...

It will be the Autoset II then... for me...

Use the Vantage for a year before getting the AutoSet II and would never switch back.
