Hi From North Idaho

Post by Grashppr36 » Sat Jan 01, 2005 7:46 pm

I had always been a snorer and just never seemed to get enough rest. During my pregnancy over the summer I was mentioning to my OB/GYN how extra tired I was and he immediately got me into a sleep lab. I ended up having 3 visits. The initial one diagnosed the problem as moderate to severe. The second trip in (3 days before I had the baby) was to try the CPAP machine. The third trip in was 2 weeks after the baby was born. They wanted to see if the pressure needed to be adjusted.

I am using a CPAP machine with the heat humidifier. My pressure setting is 15 and my humidifier level is 4.

What an adventure! I am so glad to have found this site-I am still trying to navigate my way through the mire of information. They gave me a full face mask and an over the nose one as well. I feel like I am in a space fighter sometimes!

Anyway, I look forward to learning more about this condition and how to cope with it!

Welcome!

You've come to the right place. This is a pretty supportive forum. Be sure to post questions/topics in the main section. Either way, I suspect you'll get lots of help whenever you need it. Again, welcome.
