And that's why I followed it up with "outing" him for being what he is........for the sake of the new people.

For what it is worth . . .

I just passed my S8 Vantage along to my wife and got a new S8 II Autoset. S8 II is MUCH more quiet and the software algorithm must have been changed as breathing now feels much more natural than it did with the Vantage. Very happy with my choice.

Good on you, Hobbs. How generous of you to "share" your no longer needed S8 Vantage on to your wife!

Any Auto is a good choice. They all have their own quirks.

When you get your machine, contemplate mask selection. I run a free Test Drive for the Nasal Aire II. You can read all about it in my signature line. Click on the link to Babette's NAII Tip Sheet. All it costs you is the postage to send it on to the next person. PM me if you're interested.

Good luck and welcome to Hose World!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Yeah I've been to that website and they have some good stuff. I also found this new website called http://www.cpaphouse.com. They have some great prices and they actually answered an email that I sent them. I got the Respironics M-Series machine there, and it came within 3 days. On that note, I really like the M-Series machine. I used to use the old S7 machine, but this M-Series has been easier to maintain and deal with on a daily basis, so I am definitely glad that I switched to it. Does anyone have any recommendations for a comfortable mask? I'm not sure what I am using right now, but it is somewhat old, and it is a full-face mask. I was thinking about this one called the Respironics cofort-gel, full-face mask that I saw at cpaphouse.com. What do you think? Thanks!!!

You know, our host, cpap.com will MATCH any ADVERTISED price if you provide a link to it.

1st time I had a post removed on this site? Maybe I did not hit send? One more try. Price match means if you catch them charging too much, they will be a good guy and not overcharge you. Shop around, all prices are not the lowest at any one site, that is why my new machine did not come from cpap.com. I have purchased other items from them, when they had the best price the 1st time.

Hi,
I'm new (and not sure WHERE to post my first question)
I"ve just been diagnosed with APNEA and I'm an ultra runner, hiker, and camper and want a LIGHT machine with a battery. Has anyone used the AEIO med everest 2 travel CPAP machine (I just found on web) or what do you suggest for best battery inclusive machine that is also the lightest for travel in a back pack. I may be away from electricity for a few days. Thanks and look forward to getting to meet you all!

Hi Farron, and welcome to the board. You're obviously doing your homework, 'cause you were reading an old thread when you hit the "Post Reply" button and put your message into the old thread.

That's ok, but the best place (best because it will get noticed better) to post a new question is by first clicking "Home" (the little house at top of page beside the cpaptalk.com logo) so that you are on the main page. Then click "Post a New Topic." Make up a rather specific title for your topic, like: Lightweight battery CPAP for backpack?" Write your message (just like you did here) and hit the Preview button. If it looks the way you want it to, hit Submit.

Voila', your new Topic will appear at the top of the list of the many topics on page 1 of the message board. If you want to reply back and forth to people who post in your topic, be looking at the posts in your topic and hit the Post Reply button.

"Post Reply" is used to continue the discussion (questions, answers, more questions, more answers) that's already going on in a topic.

"Post a New Topic" is used to start a new discussion on the Home page -- as in asking your question about the Aeiomed battery machine.

Slinky took good care of you! She's a sweetie!

Slinky, how can would we get that image! You never seem crochety! Slinky is not a screen name for a "chochety ole broad". By your avatar you seem to portray a sexy active persona!
