Well I know that my sleeping position definitely impacts my quality of sleep and apneas just from personal experience.
If I ever kick back in my recliner and try to nap I feel it in my chest. This discourages me from napping anywhere but a bed where I can either side sleep and/or use my CPAP.

My grandmother, who is in her 90s and was a nurse, actually recommended positional therapy of sorts when i first told her I had sleep apnea. she had never heard of sleep apnea --- guess they didn't know about it back then --- but suggested i just elevate my neck with pillows and sleep on my side.
