Variable Breathing always 60%+ - Concerned
Re: Variable Breathing always 60%+ - Concerned
Let's assume Browser is indeed the renamed mt*, blowfish, whatever.
He is a human being who has a lot of problems - some of them apparently emotional. He may have been off his medication when he became blowfish. He may be back on it now, and hoping to find support.
He may be a troll
As Browser, he has, as yet, done nothing to warrant drumming him away from the forum.
Don't you think an ill human being should be given a second chance?
Browser, I agree with -SWS suggestion about getting a good doctor.
And by the way, is was me, way back in the beginning who suggested you try a fixed pressure of 16.
O.

My thoughts exactly, ozij. I'm most concerned that Browser gets a good handle on what's happening with his health.
I think a top-notch doctor is going to be indispensable for him. And I think the opinions and advice offered here will continue to be extremely helpful for Browser as well.

I know nothing about the topic of this thread, however, I am very aware that browser/mth712/joe blow/blowfish and who knows how many more names needs help.
Can that help be provided here on the forum? I don't have an answer.
He has been non compliant most of the years since he was been diagnosed with OSA. That seems to be changing now. However, he needs a good doc or two (or more even). Let's hope he finds them.

Re: Variable Breathing always 60%+ - Concerned
Before judging others I think maybe people need to look at the posts in this thread that nearly took it over.
I don't see where the post linked to is honestly any worse than the personal attacks in this thread and that I see all the time here.
I did read a lot of posts by various contributors to this thread and certain people seem to take more pleasure in stirring up trouble than they do in really helping. So take a look at yourselves before judging others(SNOREDOG,JULES).
My mental health is fine except for what I have been so open as to mention in this thread in order to help myself and others and my IQ is actually quite high.
Thanks for all the help I have received in this thread while patiently wading through all the BS going on.
And for all those who take pleasure in other people making mistakes I am sure you will enjoy this, I am MTH712,BLOWFISH and now BROWSER and as MTH712 I contributed a lot of good stuff here along with an occasional flippant attempt at humor that may have been misguided although nowhere near the type of stuff Snoredog says all the time and he hasn't been run off this board. I was also here long before the new board and forgot my username and password and had to sign back up.
You can't imagine the anxiety and embarrassment I suffered after that post was taken so wrong and I didn't man up and just say I did it and instead acted out so childishly. I don't know why I did what I did but it sure as hell wasn't for attention. Well actually I do know why I posted the first post and did it anonymously and it was because I was so tired of sifting through Sags writing,it is a pet peeve of mine, the way people don't write to the general population and I have the same issue with political speech and reporters sometimes. Throwing the big words around is a waste of time and most people don't know what they mean so why do it. What I don't know is why I let it bother me and maybe the resident shrink here Ozij can tell me.
Ozij, I do not have emotional problems other than problems mentioned in this thread although I agree it would appear so based on the way I tried to wiggle out of that post that got me in trouble. I don't have MPD or something, just a misunderstood dry sense of humor and maybe the occasional angry post when I have had an especially bad night and am at my worst.
I will say I got better replies as a new poster than I ever could get before and I have seen this mentioned by others in the past. Too bad the cat is out of the bag and I will be ignored again because I really want to help myself and others and try to understand this high VB issue.
Sorry SAG, I do respect your knowledge.
So I tried to come back and start over and when I thought it was safe I signed back up and wouldn't you know it that my first post was hijacked repeatedly by Snoredog and others, you know, same people that ridicule me,strange coincidence.
But hey,I still repect Snoredogs opinions and everyone elses and forgive them and him for the occasional outburst of ignorance because we are all humans and not perfect.
I also know there are people on here who sign on through a proxy and make posts and you know who you are, thedean as of late is actually I think one of the posters in this thread. So don't be so "holyier than thou".
So Jules, you caught me, not like I tried that hard to hide. I wouldn't have thought you would go back to such an old thread and that says more about you than me... (Thanks for the line SAG)
Jules, I really don't understand some of your posts especially that attack me as if I am ignorant because I was not compliant with CPAP. You weren't here in my life to know what I was going through. I was diagnosed when this was a new condition and not really taken all that serious. You are holding a grudge because I cracked a joke about your leak line being so straight at such a low pressure. I am sorry if I minimized your disorder but you really can't compare the leak line at such low pressure to one at my high pressure. You shot the following post out there in a thread I started and it sounded so childish.

No, you get over it smartass. Take your CPAP hose and stuff it up your ass and turn the pressure on 15. Maybe that will get some of the hot air blown out of your system. Don't speak unless you are told to. Got that?Browser wrote:Again Jules - Oh, this is the one where you "caught" me... Because you posted some nonsense and I corrected you, get over it Jules...

I thinkg we can imagine the anxiety and embarassment - nobody would go about deleting their own posts the way you did if they were not embarassed.
I was honestly thinking of your not so occasional bursts of anger - and the agony and frustration in this avatar.

I managed to read a quit a number of you mt* posts before you deleted them en masse - and noticed how frequently you felt the need to delete parts of messages, and apologize after the fact -.
That work's only so many times.
Read this sentence - from your present apology - again, and for once instead of deleting it leave it as it is, ask yourself how that kind of "apology" would make you feel.
SAG's writing, and -SWS's have nothing to do with your decision to make that post anonymously. And then deny it. And you kid yourself if you think doing those things anonymously is an expression of a "misunderstood dry sense of humor".Well actually I do know why I posted the first post and did it anonymously and it was because I was so tired of sifting through Sags writing.
Jules is right, you know, your are your own worst foe -.
Get yourself to the best sleep lab you can, Mike. Maybe a lot if it did start with the OSA. But look yourself honestly in the mirror too - don't delete your posts, because they can teach you something you have to learn about yourself.
Good luck, and take care.
O.

I disagree, that VB is just what you'd expect in this instance. In a scientifically controlled poll of one (SAG), SAG's posts were determined to be clear and concise. Don't be silly, of course it's in there. You just aren't looking in the right place.

When I first met Jules many years ago she warned me with a smile and wink that she would some day trick you into thinking that she liked you best. Tommy Smothers was in on that conversation too. Of course, at the time apnea message boards didn't even exist. Jules is one smart lady in my book. Clairvoyant too!

Wow - we met? Scary. Were you that guy that mugged me in Union Station in Chicago? or that cop that stole my wallet at O'Hare?
Re: Variable Breathing always 60%+ - Concerned
I think browser is totally fascinated with me. However, I am NOT his type and not interested. He takes posts of concern out of context.
This is a forum for support in using CPAP and if you think my comment above is to put you down for not being in compliance, (and that had been my only post on this thread until the one just above this to -SWS), then you do need your head examined big time. I don't enter into technical discussions of topics I know nothing about.
Sorry Mike, my memory is normally pretty good about who says what on this board. You were looking for trouble when you came here a year and a half ago. That didn't change when you came back this summer. You put me down on Friday so I went looking.
Again, I hope you can find the help you need.
