Re: Ripped off?
Not sure if this is how to do this but...
I used to work for the good folks at Med1. Bad, bad company. The owner couldn't give a rip that you are waiting and believe me, you have little to no recourse. He will eventually supply you with something, albeit perhaps not what you ordered. If you try to get a refund, you will be told they "don't give refunds". This is an office joke at this place. If you try to sue, you have to do it in a CO court. Not worth it. The reason nobody calls you back is because they turnover their staff about every week so there is no trail from person to person.
Many of the people there are good people, but the owner is an ass and has little to no business ethics. He is delusional so he thinks he does the right thing, but he ships defective and misrepresented equipment on a regular basis as they deal with "refurbished" equipment. You will pay for your discount in the long run.
I could not get away fast enough

Hey worker,
I sure wish I'd heard your story before I ordered rather than after!

Mindy, you don't know anything about him or his story. By all rights, the company should now post their comments about this individual so we can make an informed opinion. FYI - I finally got my refund back to my credit card from them.mindy wrote:Hey worker,

Trust me, the story I tell is true. I learned the hard way. I was lured there by the owner with promises never kept. I know Julie Schaffer, and Wes. They are good people who are tied by things they have no control over. Like I said, you will eventually get what you ordered, or something close, but if you read the contract you entered, it specifically states that they have no obligation to supply what you buy in any specific period of time. There are people, especially internationally, who have waited over a year for what they bought, and of course long ago paid for. It is issues like these, and yours, which forced me to leave as I do not conduct business in that manner.
Taking your money, and that of others, immediately upon purchase is how he keeps the business floating. Then he waits until the last moment to pay his vendors who all feel just like you do. He plays the middle to keep cash flow "positive".
As I said, he believes he ALWAYS does the right thing. Call him and ask. That is what he will tell you. "Nobody is as honest and easy to deal with than Med1" blah, blah, blah. But there is a reason why 65 (out of about 80 total) employees left the company in the time I was there. His ethics border on illegal in some instances and he puts it on his employees to explain why promises aren't kept and things are late..
I cannot say anymore, nor tell you who I am. I have no doubt he would try to take legal action as he has done with other former employees.
I think, in the end, with this product, you will get what you paid for--eventually. Depends on if they have paid their bill to the vendor. Other buyers--especially of used equipment and those outside the US--won't be so lucky.
FYI I only found you people because I am considering CPAP as a cure for my snoring. I just happened to see the company name in the string. Take what you want from my comments, but I assure you they are fact.

I received my unit on Wed like the others. Trying to type this without my pinky finger .
I never did call them. I thank Ron and other warriors for fighting the battle.
Indeed, it was gracious for them to offer the "wrong" price for the first four callers. There was no reason to do this except to say "sorry" where it counts ($$$).
worker guest,
How did you come across this forum & thread so recently? If you regularly post or read the forum, I apologize for the inquisition and wonder how you held back your fire so long! .

Sith,
See above. I just saw a doctor today to consider this or surgery. Can't imagine wearing a machine to sleep, but not that fond of surgery either.
Fluke really that this included my former place of work. I just felt compelled to give my two cents. Just try not to blame people like Julie too much. They (she) is overworked, underinformed, and certainly underpaid for what she deals with. The owner's name is Scott Carson. He is the person who you have issue with as EVERYTHING crosses his desk. Compulsive micromanager type who delegates nothing.
Take it for what it is worth.....

Can someone comment on the battery life of those things?
How much do you pay for replacement batteries over there?

Oh my!!
The SPO 7500 uses batteries you have to buy?
The CMS50E comes with a rechargable lithium battery and charger ... also charges while hooked up to USB.

Well, Pirateghost, easy for you to say since you finally got your unit. I'm still waiting. I wouldn't normally take his story at face value but after the experience I've had, I must say it does have a ring of truth to it. I'm not naive enough to believe all without other evidence. When internet shopping I do take references seriously but ultimately make up my own mind.Pirateghost wrote:Mindy, you don't know anything about him or his story. However, using the float to make money is one of those nasty tactics that in this situation may well have been part of what happened. That thought had previously crossed my mind.
I still hope that Julie and Wes were sincere and the story he tells fits with the discrepancies I've observed.

It's an easy offer to make. Has anyone actually gotten it? Maybe I'm being too cynical but it would be easy to make an offer like that and then tell everyone who calls that they've already filled the 4 orders.
I sure hope that's not the case just as I hope that my unit will show up today. I still think that Julie is ok - she seems like a decent sort. I don't know about the rest.

I emailed her on the morning of 13th because no one answered her phone about the offer for 4 at the old price. No answer yet.
Even attached a copy of her letter to Ron.
Has anyone gotten one of the four or been told they would get one?

Jerry did you read Julie's post on the other thread?
Doesn't give an explanation how you are expected to take advantage of the offer -- just that they will honor the "old" price until the end of the day.

Hi Sleepycarol,
They didn't even honor their promise to mail out the units on Tuesday for Wednesday delivery. It turns out they are doing another mailing today. I ordered mine on 1/16 and was told it was to be shipped Tuesday. Now they tell me it's going to be shipped today. And I didn't get the super low price ... I got the mid-level price.
Go figure!
