Encore viewer not recording data on night 8

This is my 8th night with the Remstar M series smartcard, etc. I have read alot of posts, but they are quite old. are people still losing the graphs/info on day 8? I just want to make sure i dont have an old firmware or something? I erased all data on the card and will every 5 days or so. did/does this fix it for most?

but i believe the view only shows what is on the card
and the card only holds 7 days of detailed info

there is no data base to store the info in.

i dont have the viewer i have the database so
if this is wrong someone with the view please pipe in

I got my new Remstar Auto on November 2. I didn't have full details on 11/12 and 11/13 and again on 11/21 and 11/22. It's very frustrating.

did it just start working again or did you have to delete the data? so, you didnt see day 7 or 14, it was just random? I am hoping erasing my data will solve this..

Hi,

This seems to happen periodically and I've just learned to ignore it. The first time it happened I erased the card but that didn't help. Without eraseing the data reappears in a day or two. IMHO, it doesn't seem to be worth stressing over. I did find it frustrating at first but now it's just an "oh well....". Since it seems to happen at the machine end, it wouldn't make any difference if it is EncorePro or EncoreViewer....

Both this new machine and my last new machine randomly pick 2 days in a row to not report any details. All of the compliance stuff is there and you can get an idea how you did from the first page of graphs, but the good stuff is missing. I have not erased my card and I download every day.

Two weeks ago, I got my Remstar M Auto w AFLEX, and I use the same EncoreViewer software.

Yes, I have seven "Daily Details", and each time I add one, the oldest drops out. I had read (probably on this forum) that this is what would happen, so I have been saving each day as a Microsoft Document Imaging file. (I just can't see letting useful data evaporate.)

For anyone interested in saving files, since the program won't save to a file, you need to print to a file, then save that file. This is a clumsy and memory intensive way of doing this, but at least I have my records from day 1.

I suspect that Respironics lawyers might had something to do with the notion that we shouldn't actually save files for the long-term, (lest we make pressure adjustments based on this info.) Just a guess.

thanks. and in 2 weeks have you had any days that dont shop up on the card?

I think that what we are talking about is the newest day dropping out. For instance yesterday morning and this morning I have no details other than compliance. The rest of the week is still there and I'm sure that tomorrow will show up as usual. It's just that every once in awhile we wake up and cannot find out how we fared during the night.

Your profile shows the "M"agic, you HH shows the Classic. Yes it's frustrating, that's progress, or not. Firmware doesn't fix it, a Classic Tank will, so it's something to be lived with for most. Jim

Ah, as I re-read...I see your issue.

(If I were superstitious, I'd be knocking on wood) Luckily, all my daily files are present. Interestingly, even if I take an occasional nap, the software makes a new report about that, as well.

Good luck finding the source of the dropped days.

Lately I've been downloading once or twice a week and I'll suddenly find a day or two missing in the middle.

I did erase my data yesterday and last night's data DID indeed show up completely for me. So, I only lost one day. That said, when i import this into encore pro, i can now only run reports on one day? how do you get it to show all day trends? i thought that would be do-able with the sql database in pro? Ironically, contrary to what some had said, my encore viewer (i have both) still kept all data and i can see 9 day trends on that one.. is pro limited to just the latest info on your card? that makes no sense.. pls advise..

As Jim tried to say ... it is an issue with the "M" series machines, not the software. From the very begining, the "M" series machines have been known to randomly drop off a couple of days of data.

The older Classic "tank" models don't have that problem ... that is how we know it is not a software issue (since we use the same software).
