I pulled on my tubing of my air curve 11 which turned it 90° and the machine stopped and wouldn't start again and the screen didn't show up. So I went to lincare and they have no loaners anymore don't even CPAP or BiPAP. And since I got my air curve of 11 a little over 2 years ago it's out of warranty so I have to buy a new machine they told me. Then I was thinking of trying to get a CPAP machine instead cuz they're much cheaper. So that whole monstrosity happened on Tuesday night and I went to lincare on Wednesday so on Wednesday night after they tried to plug it in at lincare and nothing happened I gave it another shot and the screen did show up. So I shut it off right away just in case it was still water in there from the 90° turn when I pulled on the tubing. So last night I slept pretty well without the machine, except I am feeling a little bit of yawn attempts but very light. So the machine works now but I really want to make sure there's no water in there so I have to figure out how long to wait before I should start the machine again. I did get in touch with somebody at ResMed and I'm waiting for an answer.
Once it does work I asked the PA at my sleep doctor's office if I could try the CPAP mode on my air curve 11 and she says she thinks it just does a straight CPAP mode and not the auto titrating like the air since 11 would do. Do any of you know whether or not that's true when it comes to the air curve 11?
I have the air curve 11 VAuto so it says it does do some kind of Auto titrating because it uses two pressures. So I'm wondering if I wanted to try out in order to try training CPAP but I don't have one would using the CPAP mode in the v Auto replicate the auto titrating of the Air Sense 11, at least enough that I know that I can handle it easily. I've been using a BiPAP for 23 years so I want to make sure if I buy an air sense 11 as a backup I'll be able to use it.
