It didn't have to do with leaks, and it's a shame the F & P was more comfortable. Jim
Jim, have you compared the Ultra Mirage FF Mask with the Comfort Full FF?
I wonder what the difference is? I have the UMFF but could try the Comfort Full if you think it is a good mask.

Jeff,
I tried the Comfortfull 2 and found it uncomfortable. I got decent numbers with it for all of the 3 nights I managed to tolerate it. For me, the seals are much firmer (stiff) than the UMFF.....particularly in the lower lip to chin area.

I am going to try the Ultra Mirage tonight and see what happens. If I can put up with it. The FP 431 is very comfortable, I just wish it would lower the AHI's!

Jeff,
If the UMFF is uncomfortable, it's probably either the wrong size, too tight or not properly adjusted.
Leave the top straps very loose and put most of the tension on the lower straps....but not TOO tight. My preference on the forehead piece is in the full upright position. I also push the bottom of the seal up close to my lower lip so there's no pressure on the bridge of my nose.
Good luck,

Den,
I could only tolerate the UMFF for one hour last night due to the forehead support digging into my forehead when I sleep on my side. I put the FP 431 back on. However, this time I set it to AFLE and started the pressue at 8 up to 11. This morning the Encore Pro Software said during those 8 hours my AHI was 3.9! That is the lowest it has ever been.
Also, I noticed I was at 10.8 cm for most of the night and sometimes up to 11. Tonight I am ranging it from 9 to 11.5 and see what happens.
Progress is being made!
Jeff

Hi Jeff.
Sounds like the top straps were (still) too tight and/or the forehead support wasn't vertical. (I'm a side-sleeper,too)
On the other hand......I'm glad to hear of your progress. As always, this therapy is: "Whatever works best for YOU is the best therapy."
Best wishes,
