Fellow CPoop/Pap'rs,
Geez about two weeks in to using this contraption from a bad science fiction movie and my fun meter is pegged out. Honestly I've had more fun having my wisdom teeth extracted than messing with this machine.
How do I feel about using the CPAP? I remember when we were kids at a sleep out and there was a boy that slept with his mouth wide open and snored loudly. One of my friends had enough and plugged his nose and then dumped a few ounces of ginger ale down his throat. Similar to how I wake up gasping for air every few hours and chucking my mask across the room.....sigh.
But it's all good, right? And isn't it nice that my doctor mailed me the machine and basically left me alone to figure it all out. I've had better customer service with my Timeshare Company when asking them how to get a refund.
SD card? OSCAR? N30i or P? Oh sure got it...I'm a 64 year old nug that still uses a rolodex...sigh. Not to demean myself, but I just mastered voicemail on my I-Phone.
But in a few hours I get a warm and fuzzy and make the trek upstairs to the bedroom (picture the scene in 'Dead Man Walking.'), put on the mask and participate in the air tsunami that's supposed to help me feel better. As the comedian Milton Berle used to say, "What a night!"
OK enough whining, it is HELPING me. My blood pressure is lower and it's helped with my whitecoat syndrome (high blood pressure readings at a Doctor's Office),
Glad to be here on the message board and soaking up all your wisdom.
R,
Chris

Make my day, this is hilarious and refreshing. You could do stand-up! I am about to get a CPAP and have exactly that level of support. I just emailed my brother, "what's an SD card?"

Personally, I found it's better to teach yourself than rely on the medical profession. The medical profession doesn't know what is going on in your bed every night, but you know.
