Best Pillow For Side Sleeper?

Post by cnl390 » Fri Jan 02, 2026 2:13 pm

It has been a long time since I last posted here because everything has been going so well.
Now it's time for a new pillow and I am looking for some recommendations. I have been using a buckwheat hull pillow for over ten years and like it. But I'm wondering if there is something I would like better.
I am a side sleeper and use the Philips Nuance nasal pillow mask.
Thanks

I also used the Buckwheat Hull Pillow for over 10 years. I changed about a year ago to a foam pillow. The pillow has pieces of foam and not a solid piece. Every morning I fluff the pillow so it is ready for the next night. In 17+ years, I have never had a problem with any pillow I have used. I am also primarily a side sleeper. I don't think you will find a pillow that is as heavy or firm as the buckwheat.

Another side sleeper, currently using the Pillow Cube...24" wide, 5" thick. Kind of like a slab of memory foam, but the shape of it encourages you to sleep on your side. Been good for some time now, maybe a year. Thinking of trying a different cube type pillow, that's more like 6" thick and 14" wide. I tend to sleep near the outer edges of the pillow, so a narrower pillow is helpful when I'm moving around. And the narrower pillow would tend not to invade my bedmate's space like the wider one can.

Anyways, have had lots of pillows over the years, and this one has been the best I've had so far for side sleeping
