Fortunately, NOT my experiences (twice). Had different, older machines than my AS10, but both worked fine, though you did have to manually turn on the humidifier each time you turned them on, as I quickly learned myself, as the Res. techs DIDN'T seem to know that. They DID lose my hose and mask which I had brought with me the second time, but I got a free replacement, but that took a week.

I embarrassed to say how many times I've been in the hospital over the years, My advise: don't mess with a cpap machine. The nurses are always coming in to take your temperature anyway.

Brought my own machine--eff using any other!
(Medicare won't cover "unnecessary" stuff, and the hosp.
would be holding the bill.)

Didn't think of that. Thank You! I'm always asking: "Does Medicare pay for this?" But not in the hospital. I'm sure the nurses don't know.
