OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
Hello my cpaptalk friends
I just got a copy of my F&P InfoSmart patient report app and it shows that I had 29 CA's during the night, which was noted as not a good thing..... On the same night the Oscar app did not flag any CA's. I had previously set up Clear Airway (CA) (flagged and ticked both boxes) in the preferences/events.
Is there something I have not done correctly in OSCAR?
Cheers

Re: OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
It would help if you'd remove the chart covering half your results but include the Clear Airway line on the left side ... don't know that Sensawake is needed at all.

Can you put up an image of that report where it shows CAs?

Re: OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
Oscar doesn't flag anything, it just reports what the machine tells it.Ceepapi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 1:06 amHello my cpaptalk friends

29 CAs over a whole night isn't bad, unless they all happen at once. Don't look at the count, look at the *average* (AHI, or in this case, CA)
After looking at your report, let me revise my comment...

Re: OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
But there is no Clear Airway line... That is why I am asking for help in why there is no Clear Airway even though it is ticked in the Preferences/Event to be shown..
Re: OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
Maybe OSCAR is looking for ClearAirway and your machine calls them Centrals so OSCAR doesn't report them.

Re: OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
Yes indeed, that makes sense.
Is it possible for the person(s) who looks after the OSCAR coding to add the F&P SleepStyle "Central Apneas" into the next OSCAR update? ...Please.
Re: OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
I don't know who here on this forum knows or was part of the coding of OSCAR.
BlueDragon handled it here and was part of it but he is taking a well deserved vacation from the forums and computers.
The coding stuff was all handled over on the apneaboard forum.

Whoa.. thanks for your concern with my "CRAZY AMOUNT OF OBSTRUCTIVES!" Please (as a newbie to CPAP machines) can you kindly give me some advice on the best way to help lower my obstructives..palerider wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 7:34 pmOscar doesn't flag anything, it just reports what the machine tells it.Ceepapi wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 1:06 amHello my cpaptalk friends

Re: OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
More minimum pressure.
Unless you are regularly pegging out the max at 14.5 I don't see increasing the max setting as being critical.

Re: OSCAR not flagging Clear Airway CA
Please to be posting an Oscar chart, without the box covering up a lot of what we want to see.

OP is hitting the max, I'd suggest raising that too.
