Hi!
Just want to bring up a possible issue with the new Resmed n30i Quiet Air nose cushion.
Are you using the new n30i with Quiet Air? (It has a tiny filter in the front), and feel that your SA-symptoms have reemerged?
If yes, try to switch mask for a week. I read in many forums and om FB that some people, including me, have gotten worse in their SA symptoms when using this mask. Probably due to your expiration air not being fully extracted which means you don't get enough oxygen. As with apnéas.
I have been so tired this week that I haven't been functioning at all, been bed bound thinking I'm coming down with the flu. But researched and found info about this regarding n30i, switched mask and was back to normal the following day. Also written to Resmed about this. If changing maske also helps you, please do write ro Resmed about this, so that they'll have to react and make necessary changes.
(n30i worked fine for me approx. two moths, then the filter started getting a bit clogged up and it went downhill from there.)
Good luck

Re: Resmed n30i Quiet air.
So sorry this happened to you. Do you think cleaning of the Quiet Air vent would have solved the problem?
Re: Resmed n30i Quiet air.
I actually have cleaned it thoroughly every day, but regardless the filter has gotten more dirty and the feeling of not being able to breath good has gotten more pronounced, followed by decline in my SA-symptoms. Can be that the filter gets too damp and that's whats causing the expiration not being able to get through. Read some different thoughts on that. I myself haven't got the knowledge to figure out the true source on why some of us seem to have a problem with this mask. I just want to inform about what I've read and experienced incase someone else can avoid getting worse in their SA-symtpoms.

Re: Resmed n30i Quiet air.
Three potential solutions:
- When you got your mask, assuming you haven't just been buying the nasal cushions, it came with two other different sized cushions, swap out the quiet-air vents with one of the unused ones.
- Remove the diffuser mesh with a set of tweezers, without the mesh it will have virtually identical properties as the pre-quiet-air N30i design. Try it, to see if the feeling of not being able to breathe goes away. It will be noisier, as the venting isn't being diffused.
- Replace the diffusing material with a cut out from your filter. The material appears identical. I've been using the same P30i pillows for about a year, and the same replaced filter since October without a problem.
