So I ate a decent sized Christmas meal last night an hour or two before bed. Not the greatest idea but I wasn’t thinking much. Anyways, I was getting good sleep then I woke up at midnight and started shaking and eventually had to throw up and my head felt like it was in a vice.
Anyways, I’m a mouth breather and I recently switched to the nasal pillow and chin strap because it made me feel better without dry mouth etc. could my mouth not being able to open cause these issues? I went to sleep on my side and when I woke up I was on my back, if that helps. Thank you.

I would look into what you ate (and drank) and see if others had a problem.
Did you continue using your machine last nite?
Tried it today?
Use Oscar to see details?
Take any meds?
Drink too much?
GERD (reflux) can accompany OAS, but that doesn't sound like what happened to you.

Othered didn’t have an issue. I didn’t use it the rest of the night but tried it today with a full face mask and it seemed ok.

A "decent sized" meal in the middle of the day should be fine.
An hour before bed--not so much. Digestion occurs best when upright.
Then my late night snack might be a couple Tums--and a prayer.

Re: Can my APAP cause issues with indigestion
If you have a mild issue with aerophagia (air getting in the stomach) and then eat a good amount before bed, it can cause symptoms like that. Search aerophagia here and see if that fits. Aerophagia can exacerbate GERD. You may not normally have symptoms if you don't usually eat so close to bedtime.
