I'm sure I have screen apnea, especially the last six months. My base boards are glistening and I can only watch TV so long; and reading isn't doing it for me either. I wish I could tinker like men do. My husband can play in the garage all day.

I'm sure I have screen apnea, especially the last six months. My base boards are glistening and I can only watch TV so long; and reading isn't doing it for me either. I wish I could tinker like men do. My husband can play in the garage all day.

Try sewing. I've picked it up because I was bored and sick of tv and news.

I actually learned to tinker more and when the tinkering was beyond my novice skills I was the designer and hubby did my tinkering.

My husband jokes about my "Covid yard and garden"....though after my last project that I "designed" last weekend I was informed no more construction this year.

I got a idea for a potting bench for my sister's birthday. Made out of 2 old pallets and 3 boards for trim and legs.

Now I could have done this myself. I have the tinkering skills and tools but hubby was home and would have none of it.

Ahhhh...he's been back on the road since late May. He took some time off April into May when all this mess started....he is 71 after all. Freight was slow initially but pretty much back to normal by June so his employer was okay with him taking some time off.
We did a lot of "tinkering" while he was off. And while he complains some ( and likes to blame me) ....a lot of the tinkering/construction he did in April and May was from ideas he came up with out of boredom. Not all the Covid yard was from my brain. Remember....no baseball back then for him to watch or even listen to. He was in bad baseball withdrawal and the casinos were closed.
