Should I change any settings? OSCAR experts help me out!
Hello CPAP experts!
Was wondering if I should make any changes to my cpap settings to lower my AHI. I have attached some screen shots and I'd love whatever advice you can offer!

Hide the calendar and turn off the pie chart (Preferences/appearance tab)
You could definitely stand for more minimum pressure. Probably need at least 9 or 10 minimum.
Why so many starts and stops of the machine? Did you have trouble staying asleep? Why?

The starts and stop are for the most part getting up during the night having to use the bathroom and such. I do have a hard time falling asleep initially sometimes.

What position are you sleeping in for the most part? On your back, side, whatever?
You need more minimum pressure for sure but it's really hard to evaluate because of the so many stops and starts. No real prolonged sleep session to see.
Do you have to pee so much during the day as well?

Side sleeper and I do have the same problem during the day. It's not all bathroom related sometime I just wake up randomly.

Do you think upping the pressure may reduce the number of times I wake up?

I don't know if upping the pressure will reduce the wake ups or not because I don't know what is causing the wake ups.
If the wake ups are airway related though....increasing the pressure should at least help those reduce. Not all our sleep problems are related to the airway collapsing though.
All those snores, FLs, OAs and hyponeas you see flagged...those are all signs that the airway is collapsing and your air flow is impaired and that could be a significant factor in causing the wake ups.
It tells me that your OSA isn't optimally treated yet. Too many airway events of some sort or other.
My thought is at least remove the airway collapse as a factor in the wake ups and see how many are left once the OSA is optimally treated.
If you pee a lot during the day...you will probably have to pee a lot at night and that's most likely a separate problem.
Other things can cause us to wake up but we need to eliminate what we know we can eliminate (or reduce significantly) and see what's left. I have a lot of wake ups myself....it's called sleep maintenance insomnia (trouble staying asleep vs trouble falling asleep which is sleep onset insomnia) but mine are cause by other health issues or outside factors...like pain or the stupid cats or dogs.
At least I have the airway issues minimized though so sleep apnea events don't contribute to the wake ups.

Lol I also have a stupid cat problem that does wake me up occasionally. I've upped the pressure to 9 on the machine and will report back to see of it helps. Thank you so much for the help! I appreciate all the hard work you do here, Pugsy!

The stupid cat was extra stupid last night for me.
I don't mind her snuggling up next to my butt but last night she wanted to lay on my hip while I was on my side and she is heavy and persistent. I would change sides to get her off and once I was situated right back up on my hip she would go.
Plus her added weight makes the back pain stuff worse.
You might have a chat with your doctor about the peeing so much. You might have overactive bladder and there are some options for that.
If you only peed a lot during the night I might blame the OSA but when people also pee a lot during the day we can't blame the daytime peeing on OSA.
And of course if you are male and of an age where the prostate impacts peeing...that might also be a factor. Again something to have a chat with the doctor about.
