Philips Dreamwear Full Face Fit

Post by jbishsr » Tue Jul 30, 2019 5:39 pm

Hey, I'm new to the CPAP, almost 30 days in. Having issue with mask hurting my nose. I have the large one but it seems like I need a little more width where you rest your nose. When the machine gets to the higher pressure it presses against the outside of my nostril. If I loosen the harness it leaks.
Does anybody know if the Medium wide has a broader gap at the nose rest than the large? They gave me the small & medium framework and the medium works but it couldn't be any smaller. They ordered me a large(be here next week) since there wasn't a larger mask. Don't know if that'll help or not.

Thanks for the link. I've been searching YouTube videos & websites with little result. I found the printable sizing chart(see below) but it's really not clear. I see what it appears to say but I was hoping someone had actually laid eyes on the masks, either a user, tech or therapist, to confirm. to get a replacement I have to give the one I have up to get the new one. Then if it doesn't work, I have to wait for them to order me another one like I had. Just want to be sure before I even try to exchange.
I'll check the videos in the link you sent, maybe there's something there I haven't run yet. Thanks again!

A while back I took some pictures of all the sizes but I don't remember the order and I wasn't focusing on the hole that goes under the nose.
Unfortunately I no longer have the mask at all to visually compare them.

Since I wasn't really going for a comparison of the hole part that goes under the nose I didn't get the best angle but maybe it will help you out a bit in your decision. I do believe the MW hole opening is larger than the medium.....at least that is what I think.

I want to say medium wide is bottom left but it's been so long I can't be sure.
It's how I would normally lay out sizes...small upper left, medium upper right, medium wide bottom left and Large bottom right.
But I can't say for sure that is how I did them.

But I did do it that way with this view...I can see the sizing letters.

I got the fitpack with the medium frame. If you are talking about the cushions, yes the medium wide cushion is larger than all the other (2.5'' insted of 2'') but is the same depth as a medium.

I can confirm. The medium wide is the one on the bottom left.

That's excellent! Thank you so much. The sizing chart puts me at medium depth but my nostrils ride the line on the width of the nose opening. And that's where my discomfort is with the mask.
The medium-wide opening is definitely larger. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
