can't record my usage when traveling in china
can't record my usage when traveling in china
Hi, Help!! I am traveling in China for business now, I found out myair won't be able to get my nightly report since I was here. The hotel has free wifi, and i did see the wifi signal is on from the cpap machine, but also one is block (may be that one is my original home wifi?). So what's wrong? Is something I need to reset from the cpap machine? When i use the wifi in hotel from my pc, it did ask me the user id and passord tho. Thanks!

Time to start using Sleepyhead!
Or copy the data off the screen while you are traveling.
Your usage hours are saved in the machine and on the sd card.

Might be the fact that the cpap uses a cellular modem, not wifi.mibbim wrote:The hotel has free wifi, and i did see the wifi signal is on from the cpap machine, but also one is block (may be that one is my original home wifi?). So what's wrong?

They cannot directly communicate with each other.

Also If the signal was strong enough to reach the U.S., the cord would melt off your XPAP, and your head would cook. Maybe Resmed could hook them up to a Babylon Adapter.

Or China is blocking the signal.

Re: can't record my usage when traveling in china
I found out the wifi is not on. Since the when I checked into the hotel, I had to enter user id and password that hotel provided to use the wifi, not sure if the machine can't find it since there is no way to enter the user id/pass. May be I need to ask the hotel computer ppl to open a port. I remember when I use the vonage phone at this hotel, have to ask them to open a port in order to use that. It's Marriott in China.

The data is stored in the machine so it is not necessary to connect to the mother ship every day.mibbim wrote:I found out the wifi is not on. A better question is if his WiFi isn't turned on how far does he have to walk to post here. Jimpalerider wrote:Your CPAP *DOES NOT USE WIFI*.mibbim wrote:I found out the wifi is not on. Re: can't record my usage when traveling in china
Maybe he is using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, which DOES use WIFI.
CPAP uses CELLULAR signal, the waves that bounce off those weird poles outside.
His machine is probably not able to connect to the CHINESE cellular network.
Resmed is probably adverse to paying the chinese roaming charges.
