Re: Should I Retire?
Every person is different. I retired from the USAF at 41 with a pension. I continued working til age 50. After age 50 I didn't work again. At age 62 I started SS and Medicare at 65. Now at 68 I'm good with all of it. I don't miss work. It never crossed my mind to get back in the work force. I still stay busy. Some days I'm so busy at doing nothing, that nothing gets done.

Re: Should I Retire?
I retired from the Air Force at age 41, then went to work in aerospace. I worked until I was 72 because I actually enjoyed being with the people I worked with. I have now been retired for 3 years and still remain in contact with a few of the people I worked with. I do not miss the work, but I sometimes miss the friendship I had with my fellow workers.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.
