How about http://www.factcheck.org/

I entered "Donald Trump campaign and presidency" in their site search and got 10 pages of results. Check it out. (Or is that site also biased?)

Actually, the First Amendment took it in the shorts the last 8 years. Between the IRS and the Justice Department, they shut down lots of freedoms and prosecuted many individuals and groups.

Yes it is. Funded by the Annenberg Foundation, which is a liberal-left organization.

Like I said, there aren't many in the middle.......they're on one side of the fence or the other. All people can do is to read and listen to multiple sources and see which ones make sense to them.

Says the doctor?.......or the patient?

Kinda hard to do during the Winter months.
We usually plan our "excursions" (shopping trips) around doctor's appointments.
And, since we're on fixed incomes, we have to watch our expenditures. Medical costs have gotten much more expensive in the last 8 years. Maybe that will change soon.

Medical cost increases were materially lower during the last 8 years than during the 8 years prior.

Wrong!
I know MY costs have gone up and all of these links corroborate that.

http://www.usnews.com/news/health-care- ... umer-costs

http://www.latimes.com/business/lazarus ... story.html

http://time.com/money/4503325/obama-hea ... obamacare/

http://kff.org/health-costs/

https://www.google.com/search?q=health+ ... IRA#imgrc=_

And, don't confuse "health care costs" with "insurance costs".

I didn't say costs hadn't gone up. I said the pace of increases slowed over the last 8 years.

As noted by your source, that reduction in cost growth is expected to continue to trend lower (that could change depending on what current POTUS does): "The most recent 10-year projections from government budget analysts show that health care costs will continue to increase, but that they will increase at a slower rate than they have in the past, and at a lower rate than projections from previous years."

Don't confuse 'personal anecdotes' with 'facts'.

I think you misread that article........ (compare the blue bars to the orange bars)

http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikepatton/ ... a441e96ad2

"Mike Patton ,

I provide analysis on the economy, investing and financial planning.

Opinions expressed by Forbes Contributors are their own.

One of the promises of Obamacare was that it would reduce health care costs. Since its passage on March 23, 2010, has this promise been kept? In this article, we’ll examine this issue by looking at the annual rate of inflation for the Consumer Price Index, compared to the inflation rate for health care.

What Causes Health Care Inflation?

Generally speaking, prices rise when demand increases relative to supply. Health care is no different. However, there are other forces that influence the cost of health care. One would be political decisions such as additional taxes and increased regulations can impact health care costs. An increase in lawsuits which influence the cost of malpractice insurance for medical practitioners are another factor.

For several years during the 2000s, health care costs were rising rapidly, causing concern among patients and insurance companies. According to the November 2013 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the primary reason for the rise in health care costs between 2000 and 2011 accounting for 91%, was an increase in the price of drugs, medical devices, and hospital care. Since medical devices were one of the primary contributors to the rise in health care inflation, should Congress have eliminated the 2.3% medical device tax contained in the Affordable Care Act? This tax will be passed on to consumers and insurance companies, causing the price of medical devices to rise further. Rising health care inflation prompts insurance companies to raise premiums.

The following chart shows the percentage increase in overall inflation as measured by the consumer price index (all items) and health care inflation from 2005 through May 31, 2015. As you can see, health care inflation has outpaced the CPI in each year except 2008. Moreover, in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2014, and thus far in 2015, the difference is quite significant.

CPI & Health Care Inflation 2005-2015

It seems that over-regulation, excessive taxation, and a few additional issues are the root of this problem. What can be done to reduce health care costs? Health care, like any other industry, needs competition to push prices lower. Unfortunately, because each policy must cover the 10 essential health benefits, insurance companies have no latitude to create innovative, customized policies. It reminds me of the original Model-T Ford. You could buy a Model-T in any color you desired, as long as it was black."

Healthcare cost growth was slower over the last 8 years. Full stop.

Healthcare costs almost always outpace inflation. During the last 8 years Inflation was nice and low. To nitpick to this level simply illustrates that the 'skyrocketing out of control' costs that the alt right media machine tries to peddle out is patently false.

But I digress...

I agree though. Competition is key which is why I hope trump tears down the marketplace limitations the repubs saddled the ACA with.

Well, I guess there's just no reasoning with the unreasonable. You cite sources that are absolutely right-biased, but then you say that almost ALL sites are biased and not to be trusted. So you trust these sites you link to, but they're not to be trusted? You're making me dizzy, Den...
