I think you will definitely want a heated hose! We are in Indiana and keep our house 68 and my kid is much more comfortable with her heated hose than withoutmibbim wrote:Thanks for everyone! I will need a heated hose after reading. I am in MI, half of year are winter. My room temp usually below 60 at night (save money for heating...><). And my old bipap have a heated humidifier since my mouth always opened when I sleep. So I used a full face mask.

Re: Heated tube
I am in FL panhandle and it is usually humid here, but not humid enough to go without heated humidity with my APAP. If I don't use heated humidity my nose gets too cold to feel it and then it starts to itch and that keeps me awake, also makes my mask come loose from trying to scratch the itch. Heated hose Climateline is worth the addtl price IMHO for the ResMed models.

Re: Heated tube
Unless you have had a machine in the past and found you didn't have rainout problems, I would get it WITH the heated hose as it will cost you more later. You can then use either the heated or not heated hose. You will know what to get then with your next machine. I need the heated hose about 4 months of the year. My brother never had rainout after 8 years so doesn't need it.
