Good Morning, I've suspected my pressures were low as it seemed I was always maxing out and having mosty RERA's and Hypopneas and feeling like I needed more air. This was with pressures at or around 6.8-8.4 Auto.
I have moved up to 8.2 - 10.4 Auto. Hoping to eliminate arousals that have been plaguing me. I think I slept longer with fewer arousals but my CA's have increased and I still appear to be maxing out on top pressure. Are the CA's going to increase with more pressure and does it look like I need more pressure. EPR is set to 1, should it be off??
Cheers

At this point your CA events are inconsequential, and most of your problem remains obstructive. Look at your flow limitations and the correlation to obstructive events, OA, RERA and Hypopnea. Seems the max pressure needs to increase if you want those to go away, and if it comes at the cost of a few CA, it's nothing to really worry about.

Remember your CAs are NOT causing the pressure to go higher. It's the obstructive stuff that is driving the pressure. I doubt that it is the higher pressure triggering central apnea...I would more likely bet on the higher pressures causing maybe an arousal and those CAs being post arousal. Even if they weren't post arousal and were indeed real centrals related to more pressure there's not enough of them to warrant concern.
You could try turning EPR off and see how you do. That's going to increase the overall pressure average a little bit and might help with the obstructive stuff and on the off chance (I think the risk is tiny) that EPR is contributing to the CAs it would eliminate that potential factor.
If you can't sleep without some form of EPR...need to use it because you gotta sleep.
The centrals simply are not numerous enough to really give more than a second glance...real or not.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

sleeprider/Pugsy Thank-You both
I think I will I will bump up my max pressure to 10.6 with EPR off. Do you think my min pressure is ok at 8.2
Cheers

It appears that you hit the max pressure for quite a bit of the night and since you are using a tiny range I think I would give the machine a chance to maybe fix what it was wanting to fix with higher pressures before I increased the minimum again. I would just increase the max a little and see what happens before I messed with minimum again.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
