Ok, I volunteer to be the forum guinea pig. If I am still posting come August, you will know I survived on good ole USA tap water in my humdifier. Which is set on 3. I don't know what my tank will look like, but I don't care.

Unless you're planning to lodge in Motel Sixes, the concierge/front desk guy should be happy to procure some distilled water for a paying guest. Seems like it should only be slightly more difficult than locating call girls & coke etc. ( I'd give them some advance notice, though.) Happy Trails !
