SD card problems

Post by Mattbnr » Wed Aug 13, 2014 4:50 pm

My card has done the "invalid sd card" error twice in the last month. The card is probably 3-5 years old. I'm thinking I need to replace it. Resmed only suggests their cards obviously.
So my question is what card do I need to get since I'm not gonna call teamed for their overpriced ones when I'm sure any sd card will work. Size/speed/brand would be helpful.
Thank you.

Thanks. That kinda answers my question. Looks like as long as it 1gb+ it will work. Making a trip to walmart this weekend.

Would you recommend a micro sd card adapter style or just the regular larger sd card?

My reading of some ResMed literature indicates that they don't recommend the SDHC and SDXC cards for their equipment.
Any plain SD card of lower capacity should work fine: 1GB, 2GB, 4 GB, for example.

I think an adapter is just another point of failure and your machine may not like it.

Most adapters don't support the card lock function. If you have Windoze 8 or Mac, you need to be able to lock the SD card or the PC will modify the card, and the S9 will not like it.
