What should recovery room staff know

If you were going to have a procedure requiring general anesthesia,
What would you like the staff to know about your apnea and equipment?

Definitely tell the anesthesiologist that you are on CPAP. When I had surgery, this was very important since it will change how he manages your airway during the procedure and recovery. Although he should deal with the folks in recovery, probably would not hurt to tell the nurses before the procedure as well.

They also asked me to bring the machine and mask to use in the days after the procedure where I was in the hospital.

Did you have any discussion of reaction to prior anesthesia?
