Last night my nose was all plugged up so I switched from Pillows to FFM. Only the second time using the FFM. Since I was half asleep, I forgot to set the mask type on the machine. I noticed this morning that my AHI was up to 10.0, the first time since using the machine where things were above even 3.
Curious, with a wrong setting for the mask type, are all the stats meaningless? Does the machine not know how to measure things with a wrong setting.

the machine uses the mask type, and hose type settings to better make adjustments to the pressure at your face.BlowingWithTheWind wrote:Last night my nose was all plugged up so I switched from Pillows to FFM. if you think about it, a smaller hose will result in a pressure drop, as will a longer hose, as will smaller holes in the mask for the air to get through.
it's unlikely that the mask type being misset was the whole reason. though leaving it on pillows while using a ffm would likely result in a *little* more pressure, since the machine thinks it's trying to pressurize through the smaller holes of the pillows.
