Post by stephmc » Mon Jul 14, 2014 10:56 am

I've been on cpap for 5 weeks now, I sleep good but I wake up due to the nasal mask sliding over, or rubbing against my nose and making it feel sore, I have an appt thursday with my medical company to switch to nasal pillows. anyone else go from mask to pillows and find them more comfortable? thanks!!

I have switched to nasal pillows. I love them as they are much more comfortable than the nasal mask. Unfortunately I have to use a chin strap because I can't seem to keep my mouth closed without help. Okay, I hear you all laughing but it is true! It seems to work well for me but I find the chinstrap to be uncomfortable. I am soon going to have a new sleep study and hopefully I will be able to find a way to keep on the nasal pillows without using the chinstrap which I do not like at all.

I switched from a nasal mask to AirFit P10 For Her Nasal Pillows. Love the feeling of being unencumbered! The P10 is really light and unobtrusive. My only issue is trying to find the correct size pillows (XS, S or M) so that I'm comfortable and don't leak too much air.

Good luck!

I switched from a quatro full face mask to the swift fx nasal pillows and a ruby chin strap within a month of my sleep study, with absolutely no issues. Love my nasal pillows. But can't do the nasal pillows without the chin strap...guess my mouth drops open.

I mouth breathe a bit if I don't get my nose clear and if I run too much humidity at night. Otherwise nose pillows are so freeing
