Hello CPAP people,
I have received a new task; to make a low cost CPAP for Myanmar (Burma) and some surrounding countries. I have the sales channels.
I'm looking for someone who can make/supply the inside of the CPAP machine. I have to make it in my customers label. I will need to get it CE certified by TÜV.
If you are that company or person, please give me an e-mail to cpap@khax.de
I prefer a European partner, and we are talking about low cost products (but high volume) since the average income in e.g. Myanmar is very low.
Thanks,
K. Henrik
Looking for CPAP manufacture
Re: Looking for CPAP manufacture
Who are you - what is your background?
I wonder if you wouldn't get more response from a general website like Bing, etc., because we're mostly just a bunch of patients helping each other adjust to papping and are not generally involved in making machines, the market for which is dominated by a very few companies.

Re: Looking for CPAP manufacture
I was wanting to make a low cost CPAP unit for the poorer parts of the world and got shot down big time in this forum, guess it is easier to shoot down ideas then embrace them and add constructive input. there was some that were nice and had good input and were helpful.
what killed my doing much with this all the laws and rules and regulations as well as the possibility of being sue for doing the right thing.
I can help make a unit no problem, only thing is I live in Canada not Europe. there will be no problems making a very low cost unit. I own and operate a complete design, prototyping and CNC machine shop. I can program micro controllers and design and make prototypes all in house, complete with art work if needed. and also make the plastic molds needed for making the parts and am making my own injection molding machines. have 3D printers right now as can print up mockups of designs and make functional prototypes.
look up my posts and you will see my posting about this very thing and how I wanted to help out and even donate some time and resources to make things better for others. there are some in this forum that think the CPAP units are some sort of magic black box full of mystery and extreme high tech and far beyond anyone being able to make one, you would think I wanted to make a rocket to go to the moon or something, IT IS JUST A CPAP. a simple blower with some cool tech attached, but rocket science.
will email you

Thank you for your e-mails.
I received a e-mail and a call from a person I will continue the dialogue with.

Re: Looking for CPAP manufacture
How are you doing with this? Another suggestion is rather than to manufacture new CPAP machines, refurbish used ones from the wealthier countries.
Of course, there must be a reliable power supply to use a CPAP!
