Resmed S9 machine malfunction

Post by ladyjanern » Sat Jun 28, 2014 3:38 pm

Last night I did my usual routine. Water in chamber .. check, mask clean..check, SD card in...check.. but when I turned it on I got a strange new message on the screen that said: Attenion, read only card, please remove and 'unlock' and re-insert SD card. I was tired and just ignored it. Unlock what I wondered?

So I wake this morning unrested and go to see what Sleephead said. I noticed that the water chamber was full of moistue and it was very HOT! The water level did not appear to have changed from the night before. Also the SC card did not record any data from the night.

Does anyone have any thoughts? It would be greatly appreciated. DME doesn't open till Monday AM.

the little plastic slide on the card is the write protect 'lock', you likely bumped it to the locked position, so the s9 couldn't write to it.

next time it tells you to unlock it, do what it says!

that wouldn't have any effect on the humidifer though, SD card is optional.

I also have the Resmed S9 and woke up one morning with water on the lid of the humidifier and being very hot. Upon inspection I discovered that the connection on my climate line hose had failed. No permanent damage to my S9 but replaced my hose and it has been fine since.

it's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, and some sd cards don't even show 'lock'. on the label...

if only all problems were that easy to solve, eh?
