All I know about Acne is the old bromides about do not eat Chocolate, for my nephew it was do not eat french fries. For some Tetracycline can get rid of it during the time one takes the Tetracycline.
One can wonder if the problem is Acne, (what we call Acne) or sensitivity to Silicon, or another bacteria, like MRSA.
You can first call your sleep doctors office and have his/her RT call you back to make suggestions. Or ask the RT at your DME these same questions.
I do know that it is amazing what Dermatologists can recognize and find good treatments for just at a glance. If your insurance is good enough, I would suggest starting at the Dermatologists office.
Getting rid of the skin problems is better than giving up Sleep Apnea treatments.

@nakedjax: My best solution is to use a mask liner; pad-a-cheek, rem-zzz's,
or a piece of old t-shirt, cut into a gasket shape. (don't nick the cushion--I did )
Since your diet is probably the same as before your face broke out,
don't blame any food--unless it's something you've never had before.
Avoid harsh cleansers on the mask and your face, and rinse well--
soap residue or vigorous scrubbing can make acne worse.
Be gentle--your face needs love; and the oils may actually be doing harm.
Note: tetracycline can cause stains on your teeth.

I found that I was having a similar problem so I started to wash my face with the anti acne wash and have been all good
Re: Remedy for acne on face from mask wears
Way back when (14 yrs ago) I seem to remember I had some acne-like adverse reaction to the mask. I started using Mary Kay & the acne went away. I'm not saying go invest in a lot of women's cleansers, but the basic cleansing form of Mary Kay might help.
First I would try Chunkyfrog's idea, then progress to BigFella's idea of acne wash. If these don't help, try Mary Kay, I know it sounds very feminine, but its really a great product. I'm currently no longer using it (I'm fickle about facial products). You might try Ebay, they sell lots of MK & it would be anonymous.
Good luck,
Jen
