I had my 2nd follow up since starting therapy 3 weeks ago. My data shows me still staying at 12 all night. My APAP was set 8-12. However, my AHI is 0.9 so they changed my machine to straight 12 for pressure. They have the ramp set to start at 8 for 15 minutes if need be.
Should they have changed it to maybe 10-14 to see what happens? They said they are leaving it at 12 because they worry if anyone gets to 0. Seems odd to me. Should I just leave it be? I think I go back at 90 days then yearly. My compliance was 100%. YAY!

If your top pressure was 12 cmH2O and the machine is running up there and staying there most of the night, AND you're having few to no centrals, then I'd say setting it for auto-titrating 10 to 14 would be a good start.

AHI of 0.9 is amazing. I've never seen below 3.5 in almost three months since I started. In my sleep test they recommended 10cm but the doc set my machine at 8cm until my one-month appointment and then we increased it to 10cm and said to come back if that didn't get my AHI to below 10... it mostly did so I'm staying with 10cm and very happy when my AHI is less than 5.
Seems like 12 is a fine setting for you.
