I don't have any opinion on this topic, but, the article is 4 years old.....lots can happen in 4 years.

Wow, I hadn't seen that! Wonder why it was in today's 'news' (or at least as a link on the page).

In my own anecdotal experience, there has been a link. Prior to being diagnosed I was having frequent episodes of acid reflux in the middle of the night and what I thought was heartburn anytime I had pizza. It got so bad that I just stopped ordering any tomato based pizza sauce altogether. Prior to my sleep study my GP put me on Pantoprazole and that seemed to solve the problem. I stopped taking it a week ago as the prescription ran out. I have been using my cpap for about 20 days now and decided to give the Costco pepperoni pizza slice a try. It was the first time in years that I had no ill after effects. The only difference has been the cpap use. I know this is not conclusive, but for me it seems to have made a difference. I have not reached for a tums or had that burning feeling since. I don't think the pantoprazole stays in my system, I was on a low dose of 1 40g pill a day while using it.
