respironics one auto cuts off in middle of night
I currently use a respironics series one auto cpap, The machine runs great for 3-4 hours and then shuts down in the middle of the night and SERVICE comes up on the led display, Any thing I could try or does anyone know why?

It probably does require service.duckstacker wrote:I currently use a respironics series one auto cpap, The machine runs great for 3-4 hours and then shuts down in the middle of the night and SERVICE comes up on the led display, Any thing I could try or does anyone know why?
However, try:
Remove the water tank before messing with the machine.
Unplug the power supply from the wall for a few minutes.
Be sure the power supply is sitting somewhere that air can flow over it to prevent overheating. i.e. not covered by a blanket, not sitting on something so soft that it sinks down into it and doesn't get airflow. See if the brick gets hot.
Wiggle the plug on the back of the machine and the detachable plug on the power brick to see if there's a loose connection.
Be sure the filters on the back of the blower unit aren't so dirty they are blocking air flow. They'd have to be really dirty to cause problems.
Detach the humidifier and then plug it back in to see that the connections are good.
Try running without humidifier.
If you can't get service, you MIGHT find a new power supply fixes it. Or running off DC power.
