S9 Elite air tube question

Post by Gillster » Fri May 16, 2014 11:33 am

I recently received a Resmed S9 Elite to replace my malfunctioning S8 Elite II, I have several air tubes left from the S8 which are of a slightly larger bore then the tubing that came with The S9. Does the machine care or even notice what size the tube is? They are the same length, I am curious because right before the S8 crapped out, my new kitten bit a hole in the tubing so I want to be sure I can use the old tubing as an emergency spare should he get a fang into to tube again. Thanks, Chris

You can use the old tubing but you will need to make sure that the appropriate diameter hose setting is correct in the clinical setup menu.
The old tubing is 22 mm and the machine will not function optimally if you don't have that setting in the S9 correct.
The new tubing that has a smaller diameter is 15 mm I think it is.
Easy to change the setting though.
How to get to the clinical setup mode explained here in case you don't know how.
