Sleepyhead data issue - removing corrupted data

Post by startanew » Thu May 15, 2014 9:27 am

A couple of days ago -- I left the SD Card out of my APAP overnight. When I put it in and downloaded that data the following morning -- it reported an AHI of 255.and similarly high flow limit #.. clearly a data issue since the highest AHI I have ever had has been in the mid-teens. Clearly some corruption.

However this abnormally high reading is skewing the summary stats and makes the overview graphs for AHI and flow limits unreadable as it uses the max value to set the y axis. I attempted to purge the days data using the data purge selected day option but sleepihead stops working...

Also attempted to change y axis settings from the preferences - graphs menu - but it is ignoring those.

I am currently using v 0.9.3

Suggestions

Exactly which model machine are you using?
Your profile points to a 550 model PR System One Auto CPAP...your humidifier choice won't work at all with a 550 machine and the problem you are describing is normally only seen with a model in the 60 series and that would be model 560 if you have the Auto CPAP.
You might want to clarify what you are using exactly in your profile when you have time.

There's going to be a new SleepyHead Windows version release shortly which should fix those issues but in the meantime you can turn off that particular night's session(s) and omit those whacky numbers.
On the left side of the SH detailed daily report under the statistics...scroll all the way to the bottom till you see "sessions" and a green bar (or more than one if more than one session) and double click on the green bar to turn it red and SH will pretend that night doesn't exist.

Regarding the graph y axis thing in the Preferences/graphs section...I never could get it to work myself in that version.
I think if you will turn off/omit that whacky night that it won't be needed so much though.

I do have a 560 -- what is the correct selection on the profile list -----

I switched off the sessions -- that fixes the stats but does not change y-axis settings for the overview graphs

hmm

This for machine
PR System One 60 Series Auto CPAP machine
For Humidifier this one even if you don't have the optional heated hose
PR System One 60 Series Heated Tube Humidifier with Heated Tube

Hmmm....scratching my head here as I thought it also omitted that night from the overview graphs but I guess not.
Let me play with mine some to see if I can figure out something....short on time right now but maybe later this evening.
There is a way to go into the SleepyHead data holder folder and maybe totally omit the files from that night...which might do the trick but if the files are corrupted on the PR S1 itself the next time the SD card is inserted they will go right back on the SD card. Give me a few minutes and I will see if I can get you some step by step instructions on where those files are.

The new version of Sleepyhead Windows 0.9.6 should be coming out shortly and I think (hope) it will resolve those bugs like you see. You don't have to remove the old version either. It will be totally separate from 9.3.

SleepyHead stores the report data in a SleepyHeadData folder in your MyDocuments folder.
So open the SleepyHeadData folder and you will see..Profiles folder...open it and choose your profile name...open it and you should see a Pfolder with your serial number after the P...open that PSerial number folder
Each session has three file types
xxx.001
xxx.002
xxx.005 (wave form file and if SD card is not in the machine during the night this file won't exist)
The date modified is always the next day.
the higher the xxx part of the file name the newer the file.
File modified date is when it was actually finally recorded to the SD card in total...so last nights data files will have today's date on them.

You can try manually deleting the offending files and see if SH will just totally omit that day from the overview.
SleepyHead may try to bring them back with the next import though...and even if you remove the same files from the SD card the machine has the xxx.001 and xxx.002 files stored on its internal memory (for about a month I think) and it will put them right back on the SD card.

So I don't know if all this work would end up giving you what you want ...anyway.

You could try the 0.9.5 test build
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyh ... s/Testing/
but it doesn't have an installer and 0.9.6 with the installer should be out in a few days. I am testing it (0.9.6) right now without the installer. Do you know how to open and run a program by using the application.exe file?
If you do I can maybe figure out some way to get you 0.9.6 build without the installer if you want to try it...I would suggest it over 0.9.5 though..as it fixes some bugs I had with 0.9.5.

Send me a PM if you want to try it and know what I am talking about in regards to opening using the application.exe file and I will try to figure out some way of getting it to you. Maybe my online storage.
These new builds fixed a lot of those 60 series corrupted data things and if it were me...that's what I would do before trying to fix 0.9.3 which might not work anyway and involves some work that you may not be comfortable trying. I don't know your level of computer skills for that sort of thing.

Check your PMs.
I went ahead and sent you a link to my online storage where you can get 0.9.6 testing build. No installer though.
I have to leave the house and won't be home for some time....errands and work to do. This way if you want to try it ..you don't have to wait on me.

Thanks as always for the quick response

I was thinking of trying this approach next is as I was wanting to create a quick summary picture for a post and to talk to my doc..
SleepyHead stores the report data in a SleepyHeadData folder in your MyDocuments folder.
So open the SleepyHeadData folder and you will see..Profiles folder...open it and choose your profile name...open it and you should see a Pfolder with your serial number after the P...open that PSerial number folder

the higher the xxx part of the file name the newer the file.
File modified date is when it was actually finally recorded to the SD card in total...so last nights data files will have today's date on them.
If that works I will wait for 9.6 with the installer.. stay tuned

Thanks again
