Hybrid Masks?

Any of you have firsthand experience with these? I like the idea of not having gear over the bridge of my nose, so I can read with the mask still on... and of having a bit more liberty, but dunno how well it works.

Re: Hybrid Masks?
I've used the Hybrid for over 5 yrs. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
The Liberty is similar, and fits better for some (I tend to open my mouth so the Hybrid's chin cup is better for me.)

I use and "love" (to the extent anyone can love something they have to strap to their face) the Liberty.
They're not for everyone, though. Some people they fit, some they don't.

Re: Hybrid Masks?
I normally use the Tap Pap now, since the Comfortlite 2 and the Headrest have been discontinued.
However, there are times, like when I get a bad respiratory infection, that a full-face mask is necessary.
I tried the Hybrid first -- and it was WAY better than any other full faced mask I had tried.
I tried the Liberty second, and it was lighter and more comfortable for me, personally.
Both work well for what I need them to do.

Re: Hybrid Masks?
Thanks, all of you. Sounds like the Liberty is the way to go. Banner Health says they can order me a hybrid. Just don't want to waste anyone's money on something I'm not going to like/use. We already did that with the Gel, which will now be donated to a local medical supply bank, so it's not a total waste, but still...

Re: Hybrid Masks?
I am going to order the Inomed a Hybrid next month. Now that my settings are working its a good time to try it.I like the fact it has a small chin support which should help to keep my mouth closed. We will try it and see.

Re: Hybrid Masks?
It may help keep your mouth closed, but the real beauty is it doesn't matter. It will let you open your mouth and still keep a seal. I yawn sometimes with my Hybrid on. No problem.Sclark08 wrote:I like the fact it has a small chin support which should help to keep my mouth closed. We will try it and see.

Re: Hybrid Masks?
Thanks for the info Linkc. I am excited to try the mask. I currently use an Ultra Mirage. Small was too small med too big. Leaks all over the place. Can't wait to try hybrid. Best of luck!

Re: Hybrid Masks?
The Innomed Respcare is the one I have used for 4 years now. The chin flap helps keep my jaw inside the mask.
This one rather then the liberty is the original and best mask.
Because it comes with 3 nasal pieces (each with 2 lengths) , 3 mouth sizes and 3 different adjusts on the straps, fitting it at first is a real bitch and takes patience.
I, and many other people, also use a light weight elastic strap across the nasal pillows, this helps keep them in place and allows the main straps to be kept looser.
Go to the Wiki and search for "Hybrid mask fixes" and there is an entire page devoted to adjustments and tips.

Re: Hybrid Masks?
I'm new at this, so I can't comment on how they work, but they look like a great idea for when you have a cold. I started with a nasal mask, which I hated, now using a nasal pillow mask, which I love, but I fear the day when I get a serious cold, which is no doubt coming.SpectreWriter wrote:https://www.cpap.com/productpage/RespCa ... eviews#tab
