Pressure setting during REM sleep

Post by Suneesh S » Mon May 12, 2014 2:07 am

Hi,

I read in one of the thread that during our REM stage we need a higher pressure. My pressure median is 12 as per the sleepy head and I am using the pressure range of 9 -13. Should I tweak my pressure settings.

That's the whole point of an Apap - it will go up if necessary. If you normally don't see it go higher (except on the odd occasion) than 13 then I wouldn't change anything, but if it's routinely higher, then you can move the high number up (e.g. to 15) without the consequences you might have by moving the lower number so much. It's what your software tells you that counts, not what statistics do.
