sleepyhead's graphs

Post by steve7e » Mon May 05, 2014 6:08 pm

I was able to access the graphs from sh months ago and now I can't. Now after I import the data I get everything else but no graphs. Everything worked fine before. What have I forgotten to do or just a dumb mistake on my end? Thanks

Maybe they got turned off somehow - open Sleepyhead, go to File, then Preferences, then Graphs. You should see a list of available graphs. the graphs you want to see should be checked, if not checked, click to check to check. Conversely, you can uncheck any graph or other element that you don't want from any area within the Preferences box.

Which version of Sleepyhead are you using?
Mac or Windows OS on your computer?
You might try creating a new user profile and use it...see what happens.

Are you getting the left side of the daily detailed report but no graphs on the right side? That is a known bug that has happened to a handful of people. Unknown at the moment why or how to fix it.
Maybe try one of the newer unstable (though they are really stable) builds to see what happens.

Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing that is missing the graphs?

Library Lady: the graphs were checked

Pugsy: I have Windows 7, version v0.9.3-0 of sh.
What and where are "unstable builds" and what do I do with them?
Yes, I am getting left side of daily reports but no graphs on right
I am not tech savvy.
Don't know how to post a screenshot.
Is uninstall and reinstall SH an option?

Unstable builds don't have an installer (so you have to go find the application exe file to launch the program) yet but there's a separate folder on the SleepyHead download page link in my signature.
I don't know if you would still have the missing graphs issue with the latest unstable Windows version...because I don't know what causes the graphs to go absent. While you aren't alone....it has been only a handful of people who has had this problem.
I think that if it were me I would try uninstall and reinstall as first experiment.

Rumor control says that Sleepyhead is due a new Windows version shortly. Unknown time frame but I hear "close".

How to post images of screen shots is discussed here...but it sounds like I already know what the picture would look like.
I have seen it before...left side statistics show up for each day but the right side detail graphs never switch to the graphs.
I don't have a fix for it.

I am happy to use ResScan with my Resmed machine:

Here is my recent full one year Stats results of my treatment. All the values are Meidans, i.e. the 95% values are also Medians of the 95% percentiles of values in the the 347 nights:

You can't get such data results in SH.

Avi123, it's nice to see you're still trying to knock SleepyHead any chance you get.

Have you tried the latest builds? There is a new build out (0.9.5) with many bug fixes and new features.

SleepyHead isn't meant as a ResScan replacement, it's meant to compliment it. SleepyHead is a much better tool for exploring Flow Waveform and related graphs, along with correlating events data. It does plenty of things ResScan can't.

ResScan's is great for compliance monitoring and basic CPAP reviewing. If you feel it's enough for you, then great!

Jedimark,

Just want you to know that I, at least, appreciate all your efforts.

My current machine is too old for Sleepyhead, and my new 960 (hopefully coming in this week) is too new for it! But I do hope to be able to use it one of these days.

Run it like the unstable builds. No installer yet.
For people who don't know about this.
Download the zipped files...unzip...go into the SleepyHead folder and find the Sleepyhead application.exe file...click on it to open SleepyHead. To avoid having to go into the folder each time you can highlight that file, right click mouse and create a shortcut (or pin to start menu or taskbar) depending on your choices... to wherever you want so you can just click on the shortcut to open SH.

Yay! Okay, now to head out and see about acquiring a copy -- and dropping some support in your direction!

My choice is to make a small donation monthly -- that way, it doesn't take a huge lump out of my pocket, and there will at least be a small trickle in your coffer by way of saying "Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!"

(I'd send you some homemade oyster and artichoke bisque as a thank you, also, but I don't think it would survive the trip from Way Down Yonder to Down Under.)
