Hello.
I have been on CPAP now for 2 years and, after an initial few months of struggle, have been doing exceptionally well with compliance.
Lately, my machine has started making a weird resonating sound that I am not used too. I have also noticed I am not feeling so good lately (like I did before I started using the CPAP all together).
I am concerned my machine has gone to the dogs with the weird noises and way I feel. I also noticed the screen for my CPAP is stained in the inside with water spots...not sure how that happened. Here are my stats from last night. The pressure looks weird with a flat sawtooth pattern. I don't know if that's right.
Anyone got any ideas?

CPAP gone haywire?
Re: CPAP gone haywire?
Look carefully at the humidifier case.sleepyruss wrote:Hello.

What am I looking for when examining the case?
Re: CPAP gone haywire?
Contract the DME that sold you the machine ASAP. Sounds like you have a malfunction. I would ask what the warranty covers. They should be able to fix it, but replacement might be tricky since you may not yet be at the insurance 5 year point.

Re: CPAP gone haywire?
The pressure pattern with the saw tooth sometimes and flat sometimes is not unusual. They do that sometimes. The little saw tooth spikes are just the machine sort of testing things and sometimes it doesn't sense the need to test with the little saw tooth spikes.
So that part of it doesn't appear to be doing anything all that odd. I have seen many, many similar looking patterns with my auto adjusting PR S1 and even with my old M series auto.
Now the noise thing...I have no idea what that would be but any noise outside the norm isn't good.
With the water tank removed (so no chance of spilling water) turn your machine over and look for a little sticker with the model number on it ...on that same sticker is an 8 digit number which is year/month/day of manufacture.
Example....
20130101 would be manufacture Jan 1, 2013
Check to see the date...the machines are warranted for 2 years.
