howdy, am just browsing having just discovered this forum. I have been using cpap for 20 years and tried a bunch of nasal masks without finding one that did the job until the resmed mirage micro. I just went on medicare and at a new location went to get durable supplies and found they do not any longer carry the mirage micro. it was suggest I try the airfit p10 and I have used it for three nights. I have a weird question having been given no instructions about using nasal pillows. the little openings for each nostril are on extended pods and they go all the way inside the nostril and I can feel the ridge of these pods in the outside of the nostril and it makes me a little sore. is this how they are designed to function or should they be resting on the outside of the nose with the hole matching each nostril. I worry about the whole thing inside being enough to cause nosebleeds. this is the medium so maybe I should be using the large so it won't go all the way inside?
other than that, this seems to be an improvement though my AHI rating went up from 1.1 to 2.7. I have the remstar a-flex but set on a constant 9 for pressure. I would like to set the machine to adjust the pressure automatically though am not sure how to do that. ignorance has been bliss.
also, I am headed for Europe next week and have no instructions about traveling with the machine and issues with security etc. I haven't yet travelled with this machine outside the states and Canada but the last machine I traveled with in Europe had a manual switch and different fuse for overseas current. is there none on this one? I have lost the instruction book in the adventures of moving recently.
so--newbie ignorant questions I suppose. I tried to use the search in this forum and didn't get any matches for the nasal pillow question so it may be the "silliest" question ever---
lotsa good nights to ya

The pillows don't go in your nose. They rest on the outside. Once you have the the machine turned on you can give them a little pull away from your nostrils and they will inflate and seal pretty well. Yes, you may need to go up a size.
You aren't the first person to stick them all the way in your nose, so it's not that silly.
I'll let somebody else answer the travel questions.

I found some really informative info on You Tube. Just plug in "fitting nasal pillow cpap" and add your brand if you wish. I found the one for Swift FX actually showed the differences with various sizes and the correct angulation
