Latest ASV?

Post by john.michael » Wed Apr 02, 2014 8:38 pm

Hi everyone,

I am about to upgrade from a 3 year old resmed vpap adapt sv.

What is the latest model these days? When I got my current machine, the s9 had just been released. Is it still the latest? Anything newer/better on the horizon?

Thanks!

Thank you!!

We'll see how this goes. Health ins told me very clearly they would cover a replacement at 3 yrs. Receptionist at DME acted like she never heard anyone make such a request before and is going to call me back after talking to her manager. I called a different DME who said they usually see my insurance provider only cover every 5 years. I'm hoping my conversation with the insurance agent will be the right info....

Anyway thanks again for the model number. I would hate to get a new one now only to find out it isn't really the most up to date (like last time)

-John

that's the one that i have based on what i was told by the people here - it seems just about perfect - controls my apnea beter than the respironics 950 (theoretically the same unit without the heated hose)

Hey John - is yours the S9, or pre-s9? Mine is just before the s9, and it is giving me great treatment. I have central apnea and this machine is giving me low AHI/AI with great "feeling rested" mornings all the time. Changed my life!!! Anyway, I'm interested in the smaller profile of the s9 (for both home & travel), and SD card instead of serial port. Maybe a little quieter, too? My current machine is pretty quiet, most noise is actually mask exhaust..... And like I said, if something newer/smaller/better is soon to be released, I would want to hold out for that.
