For several months now, I've been waking up alot at night. With my newer Resmed S9, at least I can go back to sleep more quickly. Each time I wake up, I look at the clock and try to remember the time, so I can check my graphs the next day, to see if something woke me up........like an obstruction. But my memory is always bad, and I can't remember!
So, last night I decided each time I woke up, I would take 3 huge breaths, which I thought would be a marker on the graphs for me. But what I realized from earlier graphs, is that it's pretty common for me to take several deep breaths after an obstruction. I suppose I could take alot more deep breaths.....?
Just wondering if any of you have more creative ways of marking your graph during the night, so you can find that moment in time on your graphs the next day?
Thanks.

When you look at the clock (and BTW some folks here recommend you NEVER look at your clock), keep a Sharpie or something similar and a notepad next to your bed, all within easy reach. I'm now adept at writing down times, memos to myself and other brilliant ideas in complete darkness... after all, you're not being graded for penmanship. Another big bonus is that I don't have to turn on the light- a huge no-no anyway.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I just turn the machine off and then back on. That's the easiest way I know to document the wake. It is a bad idea to get into the habit of trying to look at the clock to remember the time---that can encourage the wakes to be longer and more disruptive of your sleep.
On good nights, I'll see off/on cycles in my SleepyHead data that I don't remember. I know that those are wakes that are not things that I need to worry about "fixing" when they're obviously short and relatively few in number.

Re: Marking your Sleepyhead graph in real time
Thanks everyone!
So many times I wake up like 2 hours after I go to sleep, thinking it's morning, and I can't believe it's still so early. If there weren't a clock........I'd probably get up and have coffee. haha
But I'd probably get tired again real soon.
